# Custom rules for auto-processing order lines

A customer has requested the ability to manually process selected order lines, even when automatic order line processing is enabled and configured.

Users should have the ability to manually process specific order lines even when automatic processing is enabled. This gives users flexibility to handle both single and main/sub equipment efficiently within the same workflow.

**When automatic processing is needed**

- For simple items, like fiber slings, automatic processing could work well.
  - These items are straightforward to identify and process.
  - The process doesn’t require grouping or quantity adjustments.

- This approach is especially viable when dealing with low-complexity lifting equipment that does not involve assembling or custom configurations.

**When manual processing is needed**

- For complex equipment that requires additional handling:
  - Example: sub-equipment, such as wire slings.
    - Grouping and quantity adjustments are needed.
    - For example, when creating a wire sling:
      - The total number of wire meters is invoiced under one item number.
      - Documentation must correctly distribute the wire across the legs.

  - Manual handling is needed to make sure the setup is accurate and free of errors.
