I would like more flexibility in the Declaration of Conformity template in Onix Work.

Currently, some information such as standards/directives is shared between Form 3 and DoC through the equipment fields. Since Form 3 and DoC serve different purposes, this can result in information appearing in both documents when it is only relevant to one of them.

It is also difficult to add DoC-specific information such as manufacturer references, special remarks, derating information and other relevant documentation details.

Suggested improvement:

- Allow separate information sources for Form 3 and DoC.
- Allow more free text fields, equipment attributes and/or job comments to be included in the DoC template.

Hi @Åsulv_Digernes

Thank you for the suggestion.

We have discussed this internally, and we agree that Form 3 and the DoC serve different purposes and should not necessarily share the same information source for references.

Based on our assessment, a DoC should remain focused on the manufacturer’s declaration of conformity. Information related to inspections, testing or operational remarks is generally more appropriate for Form 3. Therefore, we do not see a need to extend the DoC template. If we decide to address this area in the future, it would more likely be through improvements to Form 3.

I am putting this product idea to “To be considered”. We’ll evaluate and prioritize it together with other product improvements for a future release.
