I’d like to suggest a small change that would make life easier for manufacturers and suppliers who use Onix Work.

**Background**

Manufacturers often have documents tied to equipment that should only be used internally. Examples are internal control notes, production records or commercial information. Today these documents have to be kept out of view for other parties by hand.

**How it works today**

You can already do this, but it takes several steps:

1. Upload the document to the equipment.
2. Open the document properties (Edit).
3. Turn on **“Hidden for others”**.

This works, but it’s easy to forget the last step. If you forget it, an internal document is visible to equipment owners, inspectors and other parties. That’s a real risk of sharing information that was never meant to leave the company.

**Suggestion**

Add a new document type to the existing list. When this type is selected, **“Hidden for others” is switched on automatically**.

Suggested name: **“Internal document – Not public”** (or something similar)

Alternative name: **“Internal documentation – Not for publication”**

**Benefits**

- **Less risk:** Internal documents are protected by default, so they can’t be exposed by mistake.
- **Fewer clicks:** Choosing the type is enough, with no extra editing afterwards.
- **Clearer structure:** It’s easy to filter and find internal documents across equipment.
- **Consistency:** Everyone in the organisation handles internal documents the same way.

The user should still be able to switch “Hidden for others” off by hand when needed. This is about having a safe default, not a hard lock.

Hi @lars.erik.vaagen , this is a good idea. As mentioned earlier, we will include this in the discussion when we start specifying the user groups and their accesses next year. I’m putting the idea to **In Discussion.**
