The declaration of conformity is, for example, relevant when assembling and manufacturing wire rope slings intended for lifting operations. In such cases, the manufacturer issues the declaration to confirm that the assembly complies with the applicable standards and requirements for the delivered product.
If a company supplies an assembly of equipment that has already been inspected and created in Onix, the declaration of conformity would serve as an additional separate document related to that equipment.
For many offshore-related companies, providing a declaration of conformity together with the supplied equipment is a contractual and operational requirement, as the equipment delivered is often intended to form part of a larger machine or lifting arrangement.
Therefore, the ability to generate and issue such documentation directly from the system would support both compliance and customer delivery requirements.
