NORSOK R003 Annex H, specifies that the time limit for an RC remark is 3 months, so that is default in ONIX. However an RC remark may take longer to solve than 3 months, and changing the duration in settings will make that default for all RC remarks. Hence it is necessary for the inspecting companies to be able to handle case by case time limits on behalf of their clients and extending when required. Please look into creating this functionality.

Yes, today we do not allow for editing the due date on the issue itself.

Also, just to align with your understanding, you believe that NORSOK R003 allows for editing of the RC due date beyond 3 months?

Perfect, a good discussion is always appreciated.
R003 opens for adjustments of intervals for RC comments, it is stated in table H.2 that EOC can approve a new deadline.
A typical RC can take a long time to sort and still not pose a big risk, hence it is in our mandate as EOC to evaluate when the RC can no longer be extended.
