WHY MULTIPLE EDITING HELPS?

  • Speed: Update multiple items at once, saving you time and effort.
  • Accuracy: Ensure all your equipment has consistent, accurate, and up-to-date information.
  • Customization: Edit bulk equipment & properties to tailor to your specific needs.
  • Efficiency: Make quick updates to your equipment without sacrificing quality or accuracy.

PRIVILEGES NEEDED

  • You need Full-access to Equipment privilege to edit information of your equipment

EDIT MULTIPLE EQUIPMENT DETAILS

HOW TO DO IT

  • Multiple-selecting the equipment that you want to change the details
  • Click the Edit button image on your toolbar
  • Then select Edit all button image to edit your equipment details
  • An edit panel will show up where you can edit your equipment details
  • Click Save to complete your action

WHY ARE SOME OF MY FIELDS GREYED OUT?

Sometimes, you cannot edit some fields when you do the editing for multiple equipment because the fields are greyed out. Just like the picture below.

This happened because of some rules in Onix Work:

  • The fields that you can edit MUST BE matched with your privileges
  • You CANNOT change the Active status, Placement, and Equipment group of a Sub-equipment
  • Some of the equipment in your selection may be linked to a product that has been set to “Read-only” for certain fields.

For example:

  • When you have an equipment linked to this product in the picture below:

  • You WILL NOT BE ABLE to update all those Read-only fields for your multiple equipments

WHAT SHOULD WE DO IN THAT SITUATION?
What you can do is: adjust your selection and try again.

EDIT MULTIPLE EQUIPMENT PROPERTIES

HOW TO DO IT

  • Multiple-selecting the equipment that you want to change the details
  • Click the Edit button image on your toolbar
  • Then select Edit all properties button image to edit your equipment details
  • An edit panel will show up where you can edit your equipment properties
    • Click the Add an action button image to start editing a property
    • You can select one or many properties and your desired action for each property.
    • The action can be:
      • Add or update:
        • This will update your property with your desired value. Leave blank to set your property to empty value.
        • This action also adds this property and your desired value to equipments that HAVE NOT have this property yet.
      • Remove (If any): Remove the property from the equipment
  • Click Save to complete your action

IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • Please note that some of the equipment in your selection may be linked to a product that has been set to “Read-only” for certain properties.

    • The action WILL NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT on those equipment. NO CHANGE WILL BE MADE.

  • And some of the equipment in your selection may be linked to a product that has been set to “Mandatory” for certain properties. You WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REMOVE the properties of these equipment

    • The action WILL NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT on those equipment. NO CHANGE WILL BE MADE.
