Onix Tool Store - "Checked out equipment by logged in user" view

Idea 1: Show checkout stock goods/consumable goods for all users checking out the same product. Same for checkin.

In Tool Store (served mode), after person A checks out a stock/consumable equipment-class item, the system correctly shows the item checked out under Person A in the “Checked out equipment by logged in user” view. So far so good.

However, when person B checks out 1 or many of the same product, that product disappears from person A’s “Checked out equipment by logged in user” view in Tool Store and is only visible under Person B’s checked out list.

This makes it impossible to see a full overview of which people have checked out of that product. Only the last person who has checked out gets the item listed in his checked out list.

Idea 2: Checkout/checkin history per equipment in Tool Store

We can see a full overview of all users who checked out or checked in on an equipment via Onix Work > Equipment details > View full equipment history.

Can this info be added to Onix Tool Store as well just so users can check on this information seamlessly without having to logging to web-based Onix Work app?

Idea 3: Checkout quantity for stock goods/consumable goods

Regarding context in idea 1, though the product appears under person B’s “Checked out equipment by logged in user” view, it does not show the checkout quantity.

Hi Geir,

Thank you for your great feedback - we really appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts.

Idea 1:
We recognize that this is a weak point that needs improvement, and we’re planning to address it in our upcoming release, scheduled for October 24, 2025.

The fix will include the following updates:

  • Consumables: This Equipment class defines items that are not expected to be returned. Therefore, these will not appear in the “Checked Out Equipment by Logged-In User” filter, as we want to keep this data set as clean and relevant as possible. Including Consumables would cause the list to grow indefinitely, since these items are never checked back in.

  • Stock Goods: This Equipment class defines items that should be returned to the Tool Store. These will continue to be shown in the same filter. We will also fix the issue where an item disappears from Person A’s view when Person B checks out the same equipment. The “place to be used” and “comments” fields will also be viewable in the equipment history.

Additionally, we’re introducing a new concept called “Equipment Transactions.” This will provide a complete and structured overview in Onix Work of all check-out and check-in actions for a given piece of equipment.

Idea 2:
We definitely see the value of visualizing this in the Tool Store. We’ll add it to our product backlog, though it’s unlikely there will be enough time to include it in the upcoming release.

Idea 3:
We’re currently exploring potential solutions for this and will get back to you shortly with an update on whether it can be included in the next release.
