Hiding WLL/SWL fields across the platform and product interface

Equinor is implementing Onix for automation, telecom, and electrical equipment. Many users have raised concerns about why fields like WLL/SWL appear in the standard view “Active Equipment” and are visible when creating new equipment.

I believe there are several other fields that create unnecessary complexity for users who have no connection to them, such as Final Expiry Date, Keyword, and Produced According To, among others.

Proposed solution:

  • Remove WLL/SWL from all default views, as Onix is no longer exclusively a platform for lifting equipment.

  • Additionally, consider enabling the removal of irrelevant fields in Products, such as WLL/SWL, to streamline the user experience.

This is definately something we need to look into now that customers are using our system for all types of equipment.

I had a customer today who also commented on WLL being displayed on equipment where it isn’t relevant
