Minimum requirements for using Onix Inspect

Onix Inspect works with phones or tablets running Android, iOS and PCs running Windows. The minimum operating system requirements are listed below.

Windows devices

  • Operating system: Windows 10 or later
  • Processor: x86 or x64, 1 GHz (minimum)
  • Memory: At least 0.6 GB of available RAM
  • Hard disk: At least 4.5 GB of available disk space
  • .NET Framework 8.0 installed.

Android and iOS devices

  • iOS: iPhone and iPad running the two most recent major versions of iOS. For example, when a new, major version of iOS is released, the iOS requirement is the new version and the most recent versions that preceded it.
  • Android: phones and tablets running Android 5.0 or above
  • Screen size: fits any screen, ideally on 4.7-inch and larger screens
  • Free memory: at least 600 MB
  • Free storage: at least 1 GB

Supported scanners in Onix Inspect

All scanners that support HID standard (Human interface devices). Scanners that don’t have HID profile built-in, for example Icekey UHF, aren’t supported in Onix Inspect.

For instance, if you want to use the Blueberry HS UHF scanners in Onix Inspect, these scanners need configuring to HID profile first.

Tips when buying devices

As it is impossible to test Onix Inspect against all available devices on the market, kindly refer to these tips before you purchase new hardware:

  • If you are buying more than one unit, buy one first to test.
  • If possible, use a provider that offers full return/exchange.
  • Avoid buying the cheapest products as they often have inadequate resolution, weak processors or low memory.

  • To ensure the best experience in Onix applications, we only support a limited list of operating systems. Issues or bugs on unsupported operating systems will not be fixed.
  • We test a limited range of devices. This specification serves as a guideline for what should work but does not guarantee compatibility with all devices
