Grouped order lines are used mainly to deliver main and sub equipment. When grouped order lines are processed, sub equipment can be created as separate equipment in Equipment module, or have their information noted down in the main equipment’s comment. This outcome is decided by the Create sub equipment setting within the order’s main settings.

1. Group order lines
To group order lines, you must have an order with at least 2 order lines. For instructions on creating an order or order line, refer to Deliver equipment with documents in Orders module.
To group order lines:
- Select 2 or more order lines that you want to group → Select Grouped order lines in the action list.
- In the pop-up panel, choose 1 order line to become the main order line. The others automatically become the sub order lines.
- Main order line contains information of the main equipment.
- Sub order line contains information of the sub equipment.
- Adjust the quantity of the sub order lines. Note that a sub order line’s quantity must be divisible by the main order line’s quantity.
- Fill in the WLL and batch number of the sub order lines → Click OK to finish grouping.
2. Process grouped order lines without creating sub equipment
Turn off the setting
To process grouped order lines without creating sub equipment:
- Make sure the Create sub equipment setting in the order’s Main tab is turned off.
- Select the grouped order lines and click Group on the toolbar → Click OK in the pop-up panel.
- You will notice that:
- The Comment on equip. field in Equipment section automatically contains information of the sub equipment, including their product number, quantity, … This information will later appear in the main equipment’s comment after the grouped order lines are processed.
- The Comment on job field in Job section automatically contains information of the sub equipment, including their product number, quantity, … This information will later appear in the form’s comment after the grouped order lines are processed.
Number the main equipment
To number one equipment at a time, type the relevant values into the numbering fields.
To number multiple equipment at once, use the Auto-fill feature when the values increase sequentially, or paste the numbering values from your own Excel sheet.
Here’s how to use the Auto-fill feature to number multiple main equipment quickly:
- In the Numbering tab, place your cursor in any field of a main equipment → Press Auto-fill → The Auto-fill panel will open.
- Insert the first numbering values into their relevant fields and adjust the quantity of applied items. For Serial no., the product’s predefined prefix and suffix will be suggested as default values.
- If you want to show or hide more numbering fields, click on Numbering for and make suitable changes.
- Check the preview and click Save when you’ve done all necessary changes → The entered value of each field will apply to unprocessed items, starting from the selected item and auto-filling down for the specified quantity.
- For Serial no.: Values will increment sequentially.
- For Batch no., Owner’s ID and Prod. year: Values will remain constant.
Process the grouped order lines
After numbering:
- In the order, open the Order lines tab → Select the relevant grouped order line.
- Click Process order on the toolbar → The grouped order line will be processed. If the order line’s process is “Create equipment”, “Create equipment and job” or “Create equipment and file job”, only the main equipment will be created according to the specified quantity.
3. Process grouped order lines to create sub equipment
Apply the setting
To create sub equipment from grouped order lines, use the Create sub equipment setting within the order’s Main tab.
Important note:
- This setting applies to all order lines of the order. Once Create sub equipment is on, all grouped order lines of the order will create sub equipment upon processing.
- To turn on this setting, the order must not contain any processed equipment. Otherwise, if 1 or more equipment have already been processed, the Create sub equipment checkbox will be disabled.
Here’s how to apply the Create sub equipment setting:
- Select the order and open its Main tab → Turn on Create sub equipment → Save.
- To apply this setting, if you:
- Have already grouped order lines: Select the main order line → Click Group on the toolbar → Click OK in the pop-up panel to apply the new setting.
- Haven’t grouped order lines: Group them following the instructions in this article’s section 1.
Once the setting is applied to a grouped order line, in its Main tab, you will notice a new field named Comment grouped lines under the Job section. This field notes down information of the sub equipment, including their product number, quantity, … If your order line contains EKH Certificate or EKH Examination Report forms, information in Comment grouped lines will be included in the generated documents.
Number the main and sub equipment
To number one equipment at a time, type the relevant values into the numbering fields.
To number multiple equipment at once, use the Auto-fill feature when the values increase sequentially, or paste the numbering values from your own Excel sheet.

To auto-fill numbering values for sub equipment, place your cursor in any field of a sub equipment and repeat the steps above.
Process the grouped order lines
After numbering:
- In the order, open the Order lines tab → Select the relevant grouped order line.
- Click Process order on the toolbar → The grouped order line will be processed. If the order line’s process is “Create equipment”, “Create equipment and job” or “Create equipment and file job”, both the main and sub equipment will be created according to the specified quantity.
