Equinor employees came up with a good tip regarding Tool Store.
It should not be possible to lend equipment that has been discarded or is inactive, only active equipment.

I’m keeping this suggestion private since Kasper specifically mentions Equinor.

Hi @phuc.nguyen @fga, I believe this suggestion from Equinor has been implemented in the last release: 2024 Winter November Release notes, when we hide the Scrapped and Missing equipment from all equipment views.
Inactive and Active equipment are visible as usual.
Please confirm if this is correct or not, and mark your confirmation as the solution so that this product idea can be “closed”.
After the Winter release we do not allo discarded and missing equipment to be checked out from Tool Store.
Inactive is still possible, as their are scenarios where the equipment in the tool store is only activated after it is checked out from Tool Store.
