Regarding the dashboard configuration, I recommend changing this option from “Active Status” to “Equipment Status.” The term Active Status can be a bit confusing, since selecting this option actually allows you to see all statuses (if different statuses are configured in a custom equipment view), not just equipment with the status Active.

The reason you see “Active Status” in the dashboard configuration is that this is the name of the field on the equipment record. The term “Active Status” doesn’t mean the equipment is always active - it simply labels the field where you can specify whether the equipment is active or inactive.
