Issues module - Everything you need to know

The Issues module helps you track issues found during equipment inspections, from the moment it’s identified until it’s closed. Keep your equipment safe by managing issues, following up on their progress and handling them promptly.

View and find issues

The issue view shows issues in a table format. You can search by keywords, filter, sort, group, and switch views to find issues.

Search

Use the search box to quickly find issues based on their identification details.

To search, enter your issue ID, equipment ID, type or model. To get exact matches for equipment details (type, model, or ID), enclose the search keyword in quotation marks (“”) - for example, “ABC123”.

Views

Use views to customize how the product list is displayed and organized. You can choose from:

  • Standard views: Predefined and not editable.
  • Your own views: Editable and visible to only you.
  • Shared views: Created by others and shared with you.

Within each view, you can:

  • Name the view
  • Choose who can see it
  • Set default filters
  • Select fields and properties to display
  • Set default sorting and grouping. You can sort by up to 3 levels.

Actions with an issue view:

  • Switch between views: Select the current view > Pick a view > Select an option from the list.
  • Set a view as the default view every time you access the Issues module: Switch to the relevant view > Select Pin .
  • Create a new view: Select the current view > Create new view > Enter the relevant values > Save.
  • Copy a view: Select the current view > Create copy > Name the copy > Apply .
  • Edit a view: Select the current view > Edit current view > Enter the new values > Save.
  • Delete view: Select the current view > Delete view.
  • Find the view’s created and modified information: Select the current view > Properties .

Filter

Use filters to narrow down the issue list by applying multiple criteria.

  • To filter by one or more criteria: Open the Filter panel > Fill in the relevant fields > Select Apply.
  • To filter by additional fields: Select Select criteria > Add a field > Select an option from the list > Save. Then enter a search value in the new field.

Sort

Sort the product list to organize it by a specific field.

  • To sort: Select a column header > Sort A to Z or Sort Z to A.
  • To remove sorting: Select the column header > Default from view.

Handle issues

Issue progress

Each issue can have one of the following progress statuses:

Progress Description
Draft Use this to save an issue as a draft for later editing. Draft issues are not linked to the equipment, so no issue indicator appears on it.
To do Use this to register the issue on the equipment and set a due date. You can’t edit the issue after setting it to this progress.
Solved Use this when the issue has been resolved and the equipment is safe to use again. You can optionally describe its solution.
Dropped Use this when you choose not to fix the issue. You must enter a solution before setting the issue to this progress.

Edit issues

You can edit all details of an issue when its progress is “Draft”.
If the progress is “To do”, you can’t edit the issue, but you can still adjust its issue owner, solution, pictures and documents.

Issue details

To edit one issue:

  • Open the issue > Select Edit on the relevant section > Enter the new values > Save.

Pictures

To add pictures to an issue:

  • Open the issue > Select Add at the Pictures section.
  • Upload by dragging files or browsing your device > Enter the files’ description > Select Upload.

Documents

To add documents to one or more issues at once:

  • Select items from the view > Documents > Add document.
  • Upload by dragging files or browsing your device > Enter the files’ description > Select Upload.

To send documents of one or more issues:

  • Select items from the document list > Send.
  • Select yourself or contacts at the equipment owner’s company > Add.
  • Enter the email subject and message to the recipient > Send.

Set progress

You can set the progress of one or multiple issues at once. Open the issue or select relevant items in the view > Set as to do, Close as solved or Close as dropped.

Delete issues

You can only delete issues at the “Draft” progress.

To permanently delete one or multipe issues: Open the issue or select relevant items from the view > Delete .

Hi,

Does the new update include an export function?

Best regards,
Erling

Hi Erling, thank you for your question.

The export function is not yet included in this update. This update mainly focuses on improving performance and interface without leaving any functionality gap.

For now, the export function is already registered in our backlog. As soon as it’s scheduled for a release, we will inform in this topic: Generate a PDF file for findings list in Issues module
