QR code scanning difficulties in Onix Inspect and Onix Worker

We have identified an issue with QR code scanning in Onix Inspect and Onix Worker, particularly on newer phone models. The camera struggles to focus when QR tags are moved closer to the phone. This is due to variations in focal lengths across different rear cameras, making it difficult for the apps to auto-adjust focus.

Current workaround

  • Onix Inspect: We have added a camera switch option. If the rear camera has trouble focusing, switch to the front camera, which may provide better results.
  • Onix Worker: No immediate workaround is available yet.

Long-term solution

We are actively evaluating improvements to better support camera technologies in Onix mobile apps. Any updates on this implementation will be shared in this topic.
