Rental module - Manage rented-in equipment

Rental Module - this seems to be focussed at renting equipment out. Can there be functionality to manage equipment that is rented in (on hire to us)?

I am not sure I understand what kind of functionality you are suggesting?

This idea was suggested by a G2 Ocean user in February 2023.
I believe they need more functionalities to manage internally rented equipment. Besides the new “Rental status” field introduced in the last Winter 2024 release, we haven’t had any specific feature to manage this kind of equipment.

This idea can be kept in In discussion to gather more votes and inputs and suggestions from other users. Do you have any other thoughts?

We often rent equipment in from outside providers, on both short and long term basis. We would like to use the Rental module to record rent-in agreements and track what equipment is rented in and does not belong to us. I can see there is now a rent-in function in Onix but we can’t seem to configure it to add equipment rented in - looks like it can only show equipment that has been rented to us by another Onix user?

We have added the option to filter equipment on “Rented”. Is that what you are looking for?

I’m looking to manage equipment owned by a 3rd party and rented in by us. As an example, we have a number of shipping containers we lease in. Want to be able to register them in Onix for maintenance and inspection purposes but show they are leased and track the lease periods. The owner of the containers is not an Onix user.
