Kan være en ide å ha muligheten til å legge inn egen QR-kode på utstyr. Dette fordi det er ferdig koder på alt av løftestropper i Norge. Denne koden inneholder all informasjon om stroppen som er nødvendig, og det hadde vært superenkelt å lagt inn nye stropper ved scanning.

Du slipper da unødvendig produksjon av qr taggs, og dobbeltarbeid.

I’d like to clarify your need: are you looking to link pre-made QR codes on your straps to their equipment records in Onix Work?

If yes, this is already supported in Onix Worker and Onix Inspect. You can follow the step-by-step guide here: How to link tags to equipment

If this doesn’t match your use case, please let me know.

I took this photo of the strap at work.
I scan the QR code and get data and a prompt about Onix (Edge). I open it and get asked to open the Onix Worker app.
I do that and can see all the data for this strap.

But I CANNOT save it! Why?

Hi @Amund_Valåmo, may I clarify what kind of data you’re trying to save: The strap details, the strap’s pictures, documents, or something else?

It’d also help a lot if you can share the purpose of saving data (for example, to quickly access it later, to view offline,…) so we can understand your situation better.

If I’m adding a new piece of equipment/strap, it would be very easy to use the QR code that is originally on the strap. That code already contains all the information about the strap. When it’s scanned with the camera, the phone prefers to open this information in the Onix Worker app. It would be very convenient if we could then save this as a new piece of “equipment” on my user in Onix. This would help save a lot of time when adding new straps.

Right now, we have to manually enter all the strap information, add it, generate our own QR code, and then attach that code to a strap that already has an original code! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I guess that you bought the equipment (QR code attached) from a supplier who also uses Onix and already registered the equipment in our system.

If we look into the equipment details on Onix Worker, both Owner and Supplier fields indicate the same company. The best scenario would be:

  • Owner = your company name
  • Supplier = the company who sells you the equipment

I would highly recommend that you request the supplier to change the equipment ownership.
Make sure to connect with their company in Onix Work before they can transfer the equipment to your Onix Work - See: How to connect with a member company.

Once that happens, both companies listed as Supplier and Owner can see the equipment in their Onix Work account.
