Use Onix Express to share equipment documentation with customers who do not use Onix Work.
As a supplier or inspector, you can set up your Onix Express portal, customize its appearance, publish the access link, and grant customers read-only access to their documentation.
About Onix Express
What is Onix Express?
Onix Express is a customer portal for equipment documentation.
Use Onix Express to let customers:
- View documentation that you share with them.
- Search for equipment documents.
- Download or print documents.
- Receive alerts about new orders and completed inspections.
What customers can access
Customers can only access the documentation that is available to their company in your Onix Express portal. Onix Express users have read-only access and they can:
- Search and view equipment documentation.
- Download or print documents.
- Receive alerts about new orders or completed inspections.
- Invite their colleagues to the Onix Express portal.
Customers cannot edit documents or equipment from Onix Express.
Required privilege
To manage Onix Express, you must have the “Manage Onix Express” sub privilege at full access.
Set up your Onix Express portal
Configure general settings
- In Onix Work, go to Settings and select the Onix Express tab.
- Complete the Onix Express settings with your preferred content. You can also use the default values.

| Onix Express access link (URL) | The link that opens your Onix Express portal. You can customize the link with your company name or another suitable address. |
| Your Onix Express logon website (URL) | The website where customers can find your Onix Express sign-in button. |
| Sign-in page headline | The headline shown on the Onix Express sign-in page. |
| Sign-in page description | The description shown on the Onix Express sign-in page. |
Customize appearance
You can customize the visual style of your Onix Express portal.
Use these settings:
- Logo: Upload a new logo or use the logo from your company profile.
- Primary color: Set the main color for the portal.
- Text color: Set the text color for the portal.
After you update the style, you can preview to check the header or the full sign-in and home pages.
Add the logon button to your website
Add an Onix Express logon button to your company website so customer can access their documentation.
To add the sign-in button:
- In Onix Work, go to Onix Express.
- Copy the embed code for the logon button.
- Paste the embed code into your company website.
The button should appear on your website after the code is added.
You can also customize the logon button’s background and text color.
Grant customers access
Customers must have access before they can view documentation in your Onix Express portal.
You can grant access in two ways:
- Invite the customer by email.
- Approve a customer request.
Invite Express users
When you invite a customer, they receive an email with instructions to create their user account and sign in to your Onix Express portal.
To invite an Express user:
- In Onix Work, go to Companies and open the customer company.
- Select Contacts.
- Do one of the following:
- Select a registered contact, then select Invite as user.
- Select New, enter the email address of the customer Express user, then save your change and select Invite as user
Approve Express requests
Customers can request access from your Onix Express sign-in page.
To approve a request:
- In Onix Work, go to Companies.
- Select Express requests on the toolbar and review the requests.
- Approve the request if the customer should have access to your Onix Express portal.
