In this part, you will learn how to create jobs and complete checklists, manage job intervals, and handle issues in Onix Inspect. You will also learn how to upload inspection data and send job report to customers.

Create jobs
Create mandatory inspection job
To create a job for one equipment:
- In Equipment, find the equipment.
- Swipe left on the equipment tile, then select New job .
- Choose a checklist for mandatory inspections.
- Fill in the job details, checklist, and job status and comment.
To create jobs for multiple equipment:
- In Equipment, use the select option in the top command bar and select equipment that you want to create jobs for.
- Select New job from the bottom menu.
- Choose a checklist for mandatory inspections.
- Fill in the job details.
- Complete the checklist’s status. You can quickly fill empty checkpoint statuses at once by selecting Fill ? statuses.
- Complete the checklist’s comment. Depending on the form used in the job, the checklist comment can be shown on the control documentation.
- Fill in the job status and comment.
After you create a job, you can add or remove equipment from it. You cannot remove all equipment from a job. At least one equipment item must remain linked to the job.
If the checkpoint status is C , RC , MO , or NC , an issue with the corresponding status is created when the job is filed. The issue description is taken from the checkpoint comment. If the issue is solved during inspection, enable Is Solved and enter the solution.
Create preventive maintenance jobs
You can create preventive maintenance jobs for one or multiple equipment at once.
When you create preventive maintenance jobs for multiple equipment items, each equipment is linked to a separate job. If the Service report form is enabled, each equipment is linked to a separate document.
To create a preventive maintenance job:
- In Equipment, find the equipment.
- Swipe left on the equipment tile, then select New job .
- Choose a checklist for preventive maintenance.
- Fill in the job details.
- Complete the checklist’s status. You can quickly fill empty checkpoint statuses at once by selecting Fill ? statuses.
- Complete the checklist’s comment. Depending on the form used in the job, the checklist comment can be shown on the control documentation.
- Fill in the job status and comment.

Create operator jobs
You can create one operator job for one equipment at a time.
To create an operator job:
- In Equipment, find the equipment.
- Swipe left on the equipment tile, then select New job .
- Choose a checklist for operator.
- Fill in the job details.
- Complete the checklist’s status. You can quickly fill empty checkpoint statuses at once by selecting Fill ? statuses.
If the checkpoint status is C , RC , MO , or NC , an issue with the corresponding status is created when the job is filed. The issue description is taken from the checkpoint comment. If the issue is solved during inspection, enable Is Solved and enter the solution.
Create quick inspection job
Quick inspection is useful when you inspect many small equipment. A common workflow is to create one job for all inspected equipment, and then mark their status as “OK”, “NC - Non-conformity” or “M - Not found”.
When the quick inspection job is filed, the active status of “NC” equipment is set to “Discarded”. Equipment with the status “M” is set to “Missing”.
To create a quick inspection:
- In Equipment , find and select the equipment.
- Select Quick inspection.
- Open the Equipment section in the job.
- Edit the status for equipment and update the comment as needed. You can also update the quick inspection status for multiple equipment at once using the select option in the top command bar.
- Fill in the job comment.
After you create a job, you can add or remove equipment from it. You cannot remove all equipment from a job. At least one equipment item must remain linked to the job.
Complete a checklist with drawings
When a checklist contains drawings, checkpoints and check groups can be pinned directly on the drawing. You can complete each checkpoint from the checklist details or from the drawing.
To complete a checkpoint from a drawing:
- Select Navigate in a checkpoint or check group to go to the marker on the drawing.
- Select the marker.
- Fill in the status and comments.
Update jobs
Change job status and comment
To change job status and add a job comment:
- Open the job and select Job status and comment .
- Select a relevant status.
- Enter a comment, then select Save .
The job status is calculated from the worst unsolved checkpoint depending on the setting in Onix Work. When this setting is enabled, you cannot select a job status that is better than the worst checkpoint status.
Change job class
When you change the job class, information already entered in the job is cleared.
To change the checklist:
- Find and open the job.
- In Job details, select Edit.
- Select a new job class.

- Find and open the job.
- In Checklist, select Change checklist.
- Select a new checklist.
Change form
When you change the form, information already entered in the job is cleared.
To change the form:
- Find and open the job.
- In Job details, select Edit.
- Select a new form.
Change job date
When the job date is changed, the next due date is recalculated based on intervals selected for the job. If the job date is in the future, the job cannot be filed automatically after upload.
To change the job date:
- Find and open the job.
- In Job details, select Edit .
- Select a new job date , then select Save .
Add and update job intervals
When you create an interval in jobs, the interval is added directly to the equipment of the job.
To create a job interval from a job:
- Open the interval from the Job intervals section.
- Select Add.
- Fill in the interval information, then select Save.
After you create job intervals, you can:
- Delete a job interval
- Update a job interval’s next due date.
Work with issues
Create an issue
To create an issue from equipment:
- Find and select the equipment.
- Select Add > New issue.
- Fill in the issue details and issue owner
- Select Save .
After you create an issue, you can:
- Update the issue details
- Add pictures to the issue
- Add documents to the issue
- Delete the issue. Issues can only be deleted if the progress is “Draft”.
Handle issues
In each issue, you can change its progress by solving or dropping the issue.
Available actions depend on the issue progress:
- If the issue progress is “To do”, you can select Solve or Drop .
- If the issue progress is “Draft”, you can select To do or Solve.
Upload inspection results
Upload your inspection results when you finish your work.
Recommendation: Create a backup file before you upload.
To upload inspection results:
- Start the upload from Home > Upload or Sync > Pending upload. Both options open the review screen, where you can see the number of created or changed items.
- Review and select Upload .
If a job cannot be filed automatically after upload, you will see a reminder.
When the upload is complete, you can:
- Download the latest data: Download the latest data and start a new inspection session.
- Create a job report: Review completed jobs in the job report.
- Review upload history: Review your uploaded data and its progress.
- Back to home and start fresh: Clear all local data and start fresh.
Create a job report
The job report gives your customer an overview of inspection results and assigned responsibilities. You can create it together with the customer when you have an internet connection.
Inspection results in pending upload are not included in the job report.
To create a job report:
- Go to Job report.
- Select the criteria for the report.
- Review the inspection results and choose which section to be included in the job report.
- Sign the job report.
- Review the summary of job report
- Select recipients and send.
